Rules
1.) This goes without saying, but make sure to follow all RP rules.
2.) Please read the ENTIRE thread before posting anywhere else in the Arena. I’ll know if you haven’t, trust me.
3.) I know it’s covered with rule #1, but just to emphasize- ABSOLUTELY NO GODMODDING!!!!!! More details can found later in this thread.
4.) I am the judge. And so are the other judges, if they happen to exist. What we say goes.
5.) Inactivity during a battle lasting longer than 2 days will automatically earn you a loss with no gold payout. That is, unless you have given a legit excuse to me beforehand. Then the battle will be put on hold, and resumed ASAP after your return. But to make things less complicated, please don’t request a battle you don’t think you can finish.
6.) I make all decisions on how matches are set up. No arguing with me or you will lose ranks and/or gold and/or items.
7.) I’m fine with OOC posts and questions, but no conversations unless they pertain directly to the thread, please. And make sure you differentiate between OOC and IC posts with brackets, parentheses, or something.
8.) I welcome all suggestions, as long as they are in PM or the Suggestion Thread.
9.) If you would like to donate items to another character, BOTH parties must PM me in compliance before I will do the transaction.
10.) Any fighters who knowingly disobey any restrictions on battles will receive a lowered rank and lose 300 gold. Going two or three posts over a max page restriction is fine, or a couple minutes over a time limit is fine, but if it’s clearly been broken I will NOT be happy.
11.) Betting on fights is allowed, but only before the current fight reaches 5 posts. More on this later in the thread as well.
12.) All Meta Battles are open to anyone who has a non-retired character (again, more on this later)
13.) Check the news section often - you never know when I might announce an event, and I always announce them ahead of time.
14.) Do not edit posts without first consulting the other fighter, or someone might think you are cheating. And cheating will result in some form of punishment decided by me depending on how I feel about the severity of the offense. And even when you edit a post, keep the original post untouched and describe any changes after typing EDIT: a line or two under your original post.
15.) Every player gets one FREE Character ReForge item, which will let you remake your character if you happen to pick attributes and abilities that don’t suit you. Don’t waste it, and pick wisely!
16.) For organization purposes, please PM me if your screen name happens to change. Although I doubt this will happen, might as well cover it just in case.
17.) Any fighter may retire from the Arena at any time, and may return at any time as well.
18.) This isn't entirely a rule, but it partly is, so it's stuck here. Each League of fighters (Bronze, Silver, and Gold) will get their own set of locker rooms. The Grand Champion gets his own room, along with a snazzy belt that really does nothing but look.... snazzy. Fighters may only challenge other fighters in their league. They may challenge fighters in a different league, as long as that fighter is within two star levels of the challenger. A fighter must have 5 gold stars in order to challenge the Grand Champion for his title.

Rankings-
Ranking up works with a points system. You get star points for ranking up, and once you have a certain amount of star points, you gain a star. You can gain star points by winning battles. Watch out, losing battles could lose you points, and could end up in losing stars.
